One Source Talent provide 3 tips for a good video audition

Musical One Source Talents
We accept a wide range of musical talents but keep in mind there may be limited space on the stage/performance area. Performances may include singing a cappella or to recorded music, or playing an instrument that can be carried on/off stage by the performer. Please note it may be necessary to limit the type of performances depending on stage/performance area space available at the event venue. We will accept submissions from groups; however, at least one member of the group must qualify under the Rules and Regulations. One Source Talent Song choice
Choose a song that fits your musical talent, performance range and personal style. We recommend selecting a song that is upbeat and familiar to a general audience. Original songs are permitted but often the audience will respond better to a song that they already know. Keep in mind that the song performed in your audition will be the same song you perform live in October! One Source Talent

Video presentation
Start your video with a brief introduction with your name, company, city and state. Make sure we can see you and hear you clearly in the video. Keep it simple - we will accept copies of professionally-taped performances but we will also accept auditions from your living room or home office. Videos should not exceed more than five minutes in length.

Myths & Truths about One Source Talent Reviews

Myths & Truths about One Source Talent Reviews

Myth about One Source Talent
Gifted and Talented students will always do well whatever the circumstances.

Truth about One Source Talent
Gifted and one source talented students have problems like any other student. They may have learning disabilities which they can hide while the work is easier. It becomes harder and harder for them to excel, which can lead to behavioral problems and depression.

Myth about One Source Talent Reviews
Gifted and Talented students are so clever they do well with or without special education. They need to go through school learning with their own age group. High ability is something of which to be jealous.

Truth about One Source Talent Reviews
They may appear to do well on their own but without focused challenge they can become bored and disruptive. As time passes they may find it harder and harder as the work becomes more difficult, since they have never faced challenge before.

While it’s true that children need to play and interact socially with other children their age, they do not need to learn with them. For example the case of a Gifted and Talented learner who has a chronological age of six and a mental age of 11 and has been reading since two. To put that child in a reading class with other six year olds who are just learning to read can be demotivating for that child.

Gifted and Talented students can feel isolated and misunderstood. They may have more adult tastes in music, clothing, reading material and food. These differences can cause them to be shunned and even abused verbally or physically by other students.

Leo DiCaprio's The Great Gatsby Hits Theater's May 10th

Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the most gifted actors of this generation. He never makes a bad film! His film choices are stellar and now we will get to see him in the upcoming film "The Great Gatsby".

From the uniquely imaginative mind of writer/producer/director Baz Luhrmann comes the new big screen adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby. The filmmaker created his own distinctive visual interpretation of the classic story, bringing the period to life in a way that has never been seen before, in a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role.

The actor stole our hearts when he hit the small screen back in the 90's appearing on the tv shows Parenthood and Growing Pains. It didn't take the world long to realize this kid had something. He was incredible in the film What's Eating Gilbert Grape in 1993 and that is what launched his impressive film career. He went on to steal our hearts playing Jack Dawson in the film Titanic.

Up until 2009 (when the film was bumped from the top spot by Avatar) it was the highest grossing film of all time. Leo went on to give outstanding performances in every film he has ever been in! The Man in the Iron Mask, The Beach, Gangs of New York, Catch Me if You Can, The Aviator, The Departed, Blood Diamond, Revolutionary Road, Shutter Island and Inception.

His body of work is outstanding and he has been underated in the awards categories. He has been nominated for 3 Academy Awards and let's face it, he should have won at least one. He was nominated back in 1994 for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for "What's Eating Gilbert Grape". In 2005 he got the nod for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for "The Aviator" and in 2006 was nominated in the same category for his performance in "Blood Diamond".

DiCaprio has been nominated for 9 Golden Globe Awards and took one home in 2005 for "The Aviator". In 2007, he was nominated twice in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for "Blood Diamond" and "The Departed". He was nominated for Django Unchained, J.Edgar, Revolutionary Road, Catch Me if You Can, Titanic and What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

"The Great Gatsby" follows would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz, bootleg kings, and sky-rocketing stocks. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without of the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles

We can't wait to see Leo's performance in Gatsby! The film hits theaters May 10th! View more latest audition updates from one source talent reviews

One source talent says 2013 model un l n refugees

For last fifty years, the United Nations has been faced with the issue of Palestinian refugees, and whether or not they should be able to return to their native land after settling in another country. These refugees have spread out all over the Middle East and Europe while the UN has been offering support through the UNRWA.

one source talent
Some countries expressed their reluctance towards continuing this financial support and have been unwilling to take action against Middle Eastern countries that refuse to accept the refugees back after escaping turmoil. Others find it necessary to take action to allow the refugees’ return peacefully. On behalf of Lithuania, the continuation of assisting Palestinian refugees is in the best interest of the UN, as it is fair that they have the right to return to their home countries after escaping before.

Part of the United Nations’ mission is to provide freedom to those who are oppressed in their own countries. After the world wars, it was a necessary organization to provide freedom and prevent any other disastrous wars. Therefore, the Palestinian refugees must be granted freedom to move back to their home country because of the values we stand for. It is impossible to uphold the UN’s duties if we do not honor the freedom values that most underdeveloped countries yearn for. It is the UN’s occupation to monitor the affairs of the world to make certain that everyone is safe and free and if those countries, particularly in the Middle East, refuse to abide by our rules, then it is imperative we take action.

Lithuania fully supports peaceful passage back to their homelands and that the Middle Eastern countries refusal to accept them is intolerable. At the time of refugees escape, there may have been oppression going on and therefore it was impossible to succeed whilst living there, so they absolutely had to leave. Furthermore, if new government systems have been put in place to allow them to succeed, the refugees have the right to move back and rekindle their relationship with their home country.

Even without a new government, people must be allowed to return to their country for whatever personal reasons they have. Freedom is common issue throughout the world and for the Palestinians, it was practically nonexistent so they found that they had to escape. But no matter how much freedom one has, it is common to miss the aspects of one’s home country because of the tolerance of it for so many years. No matter the reasons, it is the UN’s job to provide safety to the Palestinian refugees as they cross back to Palestine and other Middle Eastern countries.

In the midst of this controversy, it is imperative that the UN reaches the correct decision with this issue. Lithuania stands for allowing the refugees safe return to their country and if others disagree, it might add even more conflict with those countries. The Middle Eastern countries that refuse to cooperate must succumb to the UN because, honestly, it is the best direction for the refugees, whom we already decided to protect.

One source talent an evolution of fashion

HARD fate has condemned human xx beings to enter this mortal sphere without any natural covering, like that possessed by the lower animals to protect them from the extremes of heat and cold.Had this been otherwise, countless myriads, for untold ages, would have escaped the tyrannical sway of the goddess Fashion, and the French proveib, il faut souffrir pour ctre belle, need never have been written.

The costume of our progenitors was chiefly remarkable for its extreme simplicity; and,as far as we can gather, no difference in design was made between the sexes. A few leaves entwined by the stalks, the feathers of birds, the bark of trees, or roughly dressed skins of animals were probably regarded by beaux and belles of the Adamite period as beautiful and appropriate adornments for the body, and were followed by garments made from plaited grass, which was doubtless the origin of weaving, a process which is nothing more than the mechanical plaiting of hair, wool, flax, &c. In many remote districts these primitive fashions still prevail, as, for example, in Madras, where, at an annual religious ceremony, it is customary for the low caste natives to exchange for a short period their usual attire for an apron of leaves. In the Brazilian forests the lecythis, or " shirt tree," is to be found, from which the people roll off the bark in short lengths, and, after making it pliable in water, cut two slits for the arm-holes and one for the neck, when their dress is complete and ready for use.

The North American Indian employs feathers for purposes of the toilet, and many African tribes are noted for their deftly-woven fabrics composed of grass and other vegetable fibres, while furs and skins are essential articles of dress in Northern latitudes. Perhaps the earliest specimen of a modiste's bill in existence has recently been found on a chalk tablet at Nippur, in Chaldea. The hieroglyphics record ninety-two robes and tunics : fourteen of these were perfumed with myrrh, aloes and cassia. The date of this curious antique cannot be less than two thousand eight hundred years before the Christian era. In ancient times it must be remembered that the principal seats of civilisation were Assyria and Egypt, and upon these countries Western nations depended for many of the luxuries of life.

one source talent discussion about scam

The research has provided strong evidence for the reliability and validity of the process in all three disciplines. The process proved to be equitable to students of different cultural backgrounds and language abilities.

The students selected for advanced instruction represent a full range of students and classes in the schools, including those in self-contained special education and bilingual classrooms. The results were not correlated with tests scores in reading or math. Classroom teachers were able to identify the talents of their students as the arts experts did, reaching a high level of reliability by the fourth week of observations.

one source talent scam
This research has generated particular interest from the Arts, Gifted and Talented, Bilingual, and Special Education fields because of the lack of existing data in these areas. Most previous research has been conducted in affluent environments where students have parental support and ample opportunities for their talents to be recognized and developed.

This study, conducted in inner city schools with diverse populations, provides schools with the first reliable, systematic model for assessing artistic one source talent. In addition, it provides an equitable method to select students for advanced arts training.

The difficulty of defining and assessing artistic potential has helped to perpetuate the attitude that artistic one source talents are secondary and insignificant compared to other, more easily quantifiable characteristics. This belief hinders the inclusion of the arts into a school’s curriculum.

The standard audition process reinforces the conception that artistic talent is subjective, largely mysterious, and relatively rare. After 17 years of development and six years of research the results of the Arts Connection processes demonstrate that artistic talent can be assessed and a reliable prediction of success through training can be made, even in students who have had no prior arts training.

Most importantly, the process provides a vehicle for heightening awareness and appreciation for multiple intelligence, learning styles and aptitudes on the part of teachers, parents and students themselves.

2013 On Campus Auditions Guidence

First of all, thank you for choosing to audition for one source talent. We recognize the tremendous effort involved in putting together auditions for Acting and Musical Theatre programs. Our intention with these guidelines is to help you have a good experience with us and with other schools. Please read them carefully. If you have questions, ask.

one source talent reviews
YOUR TOTAL AUDITION TIME IS 3 MINUTES

In fairness to all students attending the audition, we must limit you to three minutes total. Time your selections before you come to the audition. Bring a typed one-page resume with your theatre/music/dance experience only. It will be copied for the faculty at the audition. We cannot make copies of multiple pages. If you have a more traditional academic resume that you wish to submit, bring one copy and we will put it in your file for later consideration.

Bring a photo. An 8x10 headshot is recommended but not required. If you do not have a headshot, please bring a recent, accurate photo focusing on your face. It should be at least 4x6 in size. Please DO NOT STAPLE the photo and resume together. Although this is standard professional practice, we need to make copies of all the resumes for the faculty and staples make it difficult and time-consuming.

For the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting

• Prepare two contrasting monologues, approximately 1½ minutes each. At least one monologue must be from a play; you may use one monologue from a film script. Do not use a monologue written specifically for auditions. Total audition time is 3 minutes. For the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and Musical Theatre/Dance

• Prepare one up-tempo song, one ballad, and one short monologue, approximately one minute each. The songs should be from musical theatre repertoire, and the monologue from a play. Since we only have time to hear one monologue from MT majors, you may not use one from a film script. Total audition time is 3 minutes.

• Bring dance clothes and jazz shoes and be prepared to learn a dance combination. Tap shoes and toe shoes are not needed.

• You will be asked to complete a music theory and aptitude test. Don’t be frightened of this test: it is for diagnostic and placement purposes. We just need to see what your musicreading skills are, and to make sure that you can match pitch.

My name is Amy Thrall and I am 4 years old. I have been with OST for about a month. I have had a photo shoot, and I just got a part in a student film for a Columbia film student. I have two more film auditions this week and another photo shoot scheduled in a couple of weeks. I am really excited about the journey I am headed on.

I signed with One Source Talent only a few months ago I went to my first casting and I landed a part so quickly, I'm so excited, thank you so much OST for getting me started with my dream.

I have been a talent with them for a while now and I do not have one complaint with them. They have been really helpful to me, they even went as far as sitting down with me and helping me with redoing my entire resume. The girls at the office are always there when I need them and I have booked many jobs. Thank you OST for being an awesome company

Hi my name is Gina. I just wanted to thank OST so much for getting me this far. Just recently I was asked to be in a music video for a band and i am soooo excited, I have also looked into a couple plays. Thank you OST for letting me follow my dreams!

Only five days after returning to and re-signing with OST, I was given the extraordinary opportunity to work as an extra for Jim Carrey's latest production, "Yes Man". Not only was it an enriching experience--imagine 700 extras in one huge ballroom. Also, I made some very helpful and valuable connections, which is a crucial aspect of networking in this business sector. So, Thank You OST. I look forward to the next opportunity!

They do not charge a percentage so you get paid directly from the director. Most people don't realize that so than they get discouraged since everyone writes bad reviews.
